Eric is someone who has worked at Youth Town for over ten years now and who has had the unique opportunity to work at three different levels as a Youth Town employee. He started off working in direct care where he spent his weekends and nights with the boys. Some years later, after going back and getting his master’s degree in counseling.
Eric began servicing the boys and family at Youth Town as a Therapist. After being a therapist for approximately 5 years he became the Boys Program Director. He continues to use all experience he has gained to develop a program that helps the residents at Youth Town have an opportunity to remain sober
long after discharge. His clinical passion is to help the boys understand their “Story” in a way that enables them to understand why they have made some of the choices they have and better understand how to do things differently moving forward. Eric loves to teach and support and develop the staff he works with at Youth Town. His desire is to continue to help grow a culture at Youth Town where people serve others, care for each other and take responsibility for their personal growth and development as a person and an employee. Eric credits the love and support he has received from his wife Ashley and children Kailey, Moses, Eden, Isaiah, Josiah, Hannah and Ruthie through the years as a Youth Town employee for any success he has achieved. Also, he is aware the staff he works with has had a great personal and professional impact on him and his grow as a person and employee.
