Individual therapy provides an opportunity for our residents to explore their life experiences and recognize the pain and loss they may have experienced. Our therapists aim to help them name these feelings and identify the ways they may have tried to cope with them, such as through drug use, defiance, and other high-risk behaviors. Every resident has a therapist who offers compassion and helps them learn to be kind to themselves. Through therapy, they can better understand how to make healthier choices for themselves.
Group therapy is a type of therapy where one or more therapists work with a group of people at the same time. Group therapy aims to encourage vulnerability, provide community support, reduce isolation, widen perspectives, and offer firsthand evidence of improvement. Group therapy's content is similar to individual therapy sessions, but what sets it apart is the unique delivery and the power of shared experiences.
Family Therapy is a type of counseling that aims to address issues and struggles that affect the family as a whole. In family counseling, the family is viewed as a unit, and the primary goal is to improve communication, establish boundaries, identify group issues and roles, and promote a healthy and balanced mental state. Since our mental health is closely related to those around us, particularly within the family dynamic, family counseling is an effective approach to achieving emotional well-being and resolving conflicts within the family.
